EcoBoost getting 38 more RWHP from just catback?

I've read the same quote from pick-up trucks tweet and now I'm seeing Heartthrob exhaust ads claiming 38 more Rear Wheel HP from their catback system. It seems the rumor may be true. Impressive without a tune. The best part is nothing was downloaded or touched from the ECU and you can bolt the stock exhaust right back up for warranty work .

I wondered how long it would be before this info was posted. I haven't seen a Dyno graph, just a claim from Heartthrob that it gained 38 rwhp. Their systems used to be similar to Flowmaster single baffle mufflers, not sure now.

Damn, you can really hear the turbo's whistle on that clip. Ford must have plugged up the exhaust real bad to muffle that. Must be the reason for such huge power gains.
It sounds just fine at WOT, the froggy unloaded neutral rev isn't all that important to me, although the turbo's sound good.

Thanks for the link yellowsvt, I couldn't find it originally

I wish they would test with a Selectshift trans from way lower engine speed that can be locked in gear. I'm most interested in 1500-4000rpm than 3000-6000rpm.

i wouldnt buy it for the sound. if it comes to needing a little more horse power or it squeaks a couple mpg then it might be something to consider.

WOW, I know that the less pressure behind a turbo is better but with all the warranty talk do you think Ford will still void the warranty?

I think these claims are bogus.

Can someone post pics up of there stock EB exhaust?

If its the same as the rest of the line up, its straight through from the factory..

The muffler changed in 2011, still straght through, but now the system has a resonator... and the muffler looks different.

You can tell the difference by sound between the 09-10's, from the 11's...

The exhausts are kinda loud on the 09-10's.

Yes, they would try, but being a cat back it's very simple to go back to stock before taking it in for warranty related to the drivetrain. A broken window switch claim wouldn't matter nor would any regular servicing.

what are u gonna do if it breaks down on the side of the road, and you have to have it towed to the shop (and you want be able to swap back the exhaust). the dealerships sees it and if you have engine trouble they blame the exhaust and you and your warrantee are screwed.
