Flareside box space

Looking at an 01 supercab flareside 4x4.

I like the look but know I'll loose some box space. What is the difference between a fleetside and flare side. Any flareside owner regret going that way?

Not at all, people love the look of my truck. I've never had issues with space, fit 31 sheets of drywall, 1/2" x 4 x 8, no prob. Plus I like having steps on the sides! I do really like the 4x4 reg cab with a straight box too so in my opinion, you can't go wrong either way.

I have had both. While the styleside has a bit more space I like the look of the Flareside.

No regrets...I don't use the bed a whole lot but when I do I've never had an issue with fitting anything. I really have it because I love the look

yep, love the look of these trucks in the flareside. great curves and style! the step also makes washing the roof, tonneau cover and rear window so much easier.

So there you go pretty much! I think the only problem may be is with carrying a snowmobile , maybe? It is noticeable between the 2 with the older 96 and earlier trucks. My dad's 94 flareside can't lay a 4x8 sheet flat I believe.

In my opinion, Ford does the flareside right, and only them! Dodge hasn't attempted in many years, Chev's looked kinda gay at their last attempt, and those jap trucks (2001ish Tundra) looked like a friggin joke! Ford's have always been the nicest by far in this style, amungst other things!

Need to go look at the truck on the 27th and see if he wants to deal, also have a line on an 02 Lariet fleet side so we'll see.
