URGENT HELP NEEDED: 2003 Ford F250 6 liter diesel

My boyfriend has a 2003 Ford F250 6 liter diesel. The other day his truck just shut down and wouldn't restart. There was no check engine light displayed. There is no throttle and there are no codes appearing from the code reader. Has anyone ever had an issue similar to this? Please help! He is looking to fix this issue hisself to save monay due to the holidays.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

There are a few things on the 6.uhoh that can go wrong causing a no start. High pressure oil system failure, fuel leak, ect...

I do recommend http://www.thedieselgarage.com/forum...splay.php?f=19 to get you the experts on the six leaker.

Mine did the same type of thing last year. Shut down while driving, would turn over, but no start.

Dealer said it was a EGR Coolant tube that cracked.

Good luck

Could be a lot of things. High pressure oil pump could of took a dump. EGR valve might be stuck open. FICM could of fried. Could of rubbed a hole on the harness and shorted the pcm. The list goes on..

Chances are its not gona be something he can fix himself
