My 6 inch rough country is gonna be here tomorrow and ill be installing it over the weekend. As of now i have a 2.5 inch leveling kit and im trying to decide if i want to keep it or just run the 6". Im going to get the bilstein 4-6" 5100's somewhat soon so im not worried about stacking levels. Im just looking for pictures of this setup with 35's to see if it will look good.

u cant stack a 2.5 level with the 6" rough country, trust me i already tried it. it works with other kits but not the rough country kit, search for my old thread for more info on it. the only thing u can add to the rough country kit is a 1" level. here is my truck with 7" and 37s next to a stock f150.

Lift kits are good. They are engineered to be certain heights. If that kit isn't enough for your purposes, you are better off getting a different kit with more lift. It's not the best idea to take a 6" kit, then try to "mod" the kit. You do know that you can get an 8" and a 12" lift kit. Rize makes them. If you want 8" of lift, get an 8" kit.

 

Or go with the 12inch Rize

 

Yes I am fully aware of rize lifts...but at seventeen years old when you've bought everything you own including the truck buying a rize is a whole different animal then doing what plenty of other people have done happily and successfully.

 

I read where someone said the 2.5" spacer won't work with the 6" RC lift. I never tried stacking it on the RC, but here's what I had on my F-150. The new owner has recently installed Bilstein's up front and said the ride is much better.

Thanks, but it's in Alabama now. In that picture it has a 6" Procomp with a 2.5" spacer on 37's.

the reason you can't fit anything more on top of the Rough Country kit is because the crossmember in the kit is really a 5 inch drop, and it includes a 6 inch spacer. So, trying to put a 2.5 inch level on top of the Rough Country spacer is like trying to put in a 3.5 inch leveling kit
