Brakes squeak at start up and first few minutes only

Hey yall, so this has been going on with my truck for a while now and I just decided to post about it. My brakes squeak real high pitched when I first use them after I start up the truck. This happens for the first few minutes whenever I use them and then they seem to calm down and stop making noise. Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks yall,
-Barrett

Mine started doing this as well on the rear brakes only, seems to be ok when they are hot. It's definately NOT a moisture problem as it rarely rains and humidity is rarely over 20%. I'm running wagner thermo quiet pads all the way around. I changed my brakes fluid and took my pads off and didn't see any problems. I don't have a clue at this point.

Don't know if this is the same thing, I've got a 97 that started doing that this year. Took the calipers off and checked everything over; put a small amount of high-temp brake grease on the steel bar that the pads slide against when the piston pushes the pads. Stopped my squeak.

Mine does this as well, except the rear drivers side wheel. I makes a real sharp squeel. But it's wierd if I apply the brakes hard it doesn't no it, only when I am barely on the brakes like driving thru a parking lot it squeeks a lot. Kinda drives me nuts, here I am with a nice lookin truck and the brakes sound like I'm driving a POS!

wheels squeak.

So I get a loud squeaking noise from my front wheels when i start to go forward in the morning. And after i break and come to a complete stop. Its very loud and only after i stop and then start to go , never when im breaking do i hear it. It seems to go away after after a few stops. Once again it never squeals when i break only after i begin to go forward again and only for a few seconds but kinda loud. Any ideas?

2wd and seems to do it mostly in the morning and after a stop sign or two it seems to go away, but if it sits all day at work , the first cpl stops it does it again...and its louder then just a brake squeak and tapping the brakes stops it momentarily and it seems to be rotational with the tires if i speed up it goes away.

Make sure the pad wear scratchers aren't contacting the rotors. With 64k on the factory pads it's probably time for replacement.
