Visor Tint?

Is that what that strip of tint is called on the top of the windshield? I want to put it on the new F150 Im buying. I see a lot of you have it on your trucks.

Whats the typical length you guys choose? Pics would be great...

Usually its called an Eyebrow. I think there is a size limit based on where you live. It might be like 6 inches or something like that.

Yes its called a Eyebrow and it can go down to the cs2 line on your windshield, anything below that is illegal.

Again, Eyebrow....each state has different laws on how low it can go. usually the sunnier the state the darker the tint and the lower it can go on the windshield.

You can do any % tint you want for the eyebrow...I would recommend 5%....mine goes past the AS1 line on my window and never had any problems

I was pulled over a few years back in my dodge ram for illegal window tint and he also said that my eyebrow was too far down. He said no farther down than the length of a dollar bill. Thats in Michigan where it is very strict on a lot of things, Im sure its different else where, but definitly a place to start.

How long is yours?

My windows will be 20% all around, so will a 5% brow look weird if it doesnt match %?

I know your just talking about doing the eyebrow... but ever considered doing whole windshield... yes, it is illegal, but just looks really good!

More Pics: Tint

And if I do see a cop or something I will open my sunroof (slider/cover thing) and it makes it a less noticable.. or some people will tint whole windshield and then put a darker tint on the eyebrow.. I have 35% on windshield.. I know some people will do 35% or 50% over entire then put 5% on eyebrow to make it look normal.. Just something else to consider!

Lightbulb windshield tint

I still prefer my whole windshield tinted since it looks better even with light % of tint. I had my windshield tinted 35% and I'm really happy with the results. I asked help from www.TintBuyer.com. They provided relevant information about window tints such as its benefits, quotations, laws involve in every state and helped me find the best professional tinter near my area.

I have 20% on my sides and a 5% eyebrow....I would definitely recommend going with that set-up, you will not notice the difference (as far as side windows to front windshield are concerned).....

I am pretty sure if New York is that strict on tint percentages I would not recommend tinting the whole windshield. It may look good but its dangerous as hell.

Not the best angle, but here's mine. I'd guess it's like 8" at the ends.

mines like gators,
the way the tint company cut mine was the tint to start just under the window "dots" in the middle. originally, the piece is cut straight across, but once the sheet of tint is applied to the curved windshield it drapes down beyond the "as1" mark...not really noticeable. Heres a pic of my truck, I've been meaning to take a pic of the inside my truck, if I do I'll post it...having an eyebrow is like night and day difference.

Did you just do the front to match the same % as the back or did you do both the same at a darker %age?
