I haven't ever bought a fuel filter for this truck, but WIX makes the oil filters for Motorcraft from what I understand, I wouldn't be surprised if they make the fuel filter, too. I use WIX on all of my vehicles/boats, etc and they have always done well. I'd say go with the WIX if you feel like it, but the Motorcraft isn't a bad unit either.

They may have switched, but Purolater did manufacture Motorcraft.

I get the Motorcraft fuel filters at the local O'Rielly's for $13. I change mine about every 15,000 to 20,000 miles. The stuff that comes out is nasty.

As far as I have heard, WIX makes pretty much all the filters they are just relabled or different grades.

I have been twisting wrenches for 35 years now and IMHO there is WIX, and then there is everything else and they are crap.

Wix makes many of the filters for NAPA, including the NAPA Gold line of filters.

BTW Fram is the worst filter ever made
