well here in PA, the lighting laws are very strict. but it depends on the cop. my dad and brother are both cops and my dad works with a guy that absolutely HATES neon lighting. he will pull you over for even the smallest thing. and if he cant get the guy, he actually radios ahead to tell other cops that there is a car with neon lights coming. he radioed to my dad a few times but my dad figures that every time you pull someone over, no matter what it is for, you have a chance of the guy pulling a gun on you. so is it worth a neon windshield washer nozzle to intentionally risk your life to pull them over? my dad actually told the guy one time that if he wanted him pulled over, then HE should have pulled him over. but my dad will pull people over if it is enough to distract other drivers. with the lighting i forgot to mention that in PA, technically it is illegal to modify your lights in any way. basically if it didnt come from the factory that way, it is illegal. any lighting you add is illegal, any modifying is illegal. but it depends on the cop. i have new headlight assemblies with halos in them, i have had them in since april and drive with my halos on almost all the time and have never had a cop pull me over. i used to turn them off when i saw a cop but now the mustangs have LEDs in the headlights for cosmetic purposes and the camaros have halos. and a lot of BMWs and stuff have those angel eyes. so mine depends on if a cop knows they never made a f150 with halos or not. that is one of the reasons i put the GT on the side and back of my truck. if they see something they think is illegal, and they see it on a vehicle they have never seen before, (F150 GT, doesnt exist except concepts and aftermarket companies) then they think twice.
I didn't know that was the law in PA. I've been lucky I guess. I've had many cops pass me up and sit behind me/infront of me at red lights and not one of them's said anything about my headlights or taillights. I've had the headlights on since January and my taillights on since 08 sometime.
