Oil Pickup Tube Differences

Oil Pickup Tube Differences

Guys,
Anyone familiar with the difference between a 1998-2003 5.4 Oil Pickup tube vs. the 2004-current tube(for standard volume pump)? You'd think they would be the same but there is about a $10 difference between the two? I haven't seen both to be able to compare. Any ideas?

Not necessarily - the 98-03 is a 2v engine and the 04+ is a 3v.

Yes, but I meant the pick up tubes....pans are the same size/shape if I remember, just the new ones are plastic or have a plastic shell for quieting harmonics.
