PHP Gryphon for 09+

Ok so I have been looking for the best tuner for my truck and have decided that the PHP Gryphon is the one I want. Well I went to PHP's website to check it out and they apparently do not offer it for the 09+ platform yet. Am I wrong here or what? I would really like to get one of these tuners since all I hear is great things about them. I do have some time however, since my truck doesn't even have 1,000 miles on it yet. I am just starting early to look for what I want so when the time is right I already have the knowledge to make an informed decision on what I order. Any insight????

i'm not sure i can wait another day without a tune!

i've heard nothing but good things about tuning the 04-08 F150's, i hope to get the same positive results with the 09-10.

specifically, i'm having a hard time "understanding" this transmission. the easiest way to put it, the 6 spd seems to be "confused". it hunts, doesnt downshift quick enough, shifts to top gear at very low speeds. shifts in and out of 6th gear on the hwy even at the slightest gas pedal touch. this cant be good for the transmission in the long run??? very annoying, very very annoying, very very very annoying.

i could care less about getting more HP/TQ, sure it's nice and i'll take it, BUT my main problem is this 6 spd transmission. and to think ford did this to the tranny for fuel efficiency, let me just say that this makes mpg WORSE. i'm avg about high 13's mix city/hwy/stop-go and i'm careful on the gas! if i can avoid stop-go traffic then low to mid 14's mix. i CANNOT wait until a tune is out for this truck. forget about hp/tq, just fix this tranny

thanks!

I hear ya. I don't really find it that bad, but it doeas seem to want to shift early at low speeds. I'd still take the 6-speed over a 4.

Tunes for the '09 are finished -- they have been for quite awhile. It's just the hardware end that's been holding everything up. If it weren't for those silly Gryphon customers wanting custom tunes, Bill would have the time!

Truly, though, there have been no extra hours in Bill's schedule to work on projects like the '09. That shouldn't be an issue come next month.

It sounds like your truck might not be running as intended. Maybe a faulty sensor or connection to a sensor. Are you getting any error codes?

I'm getting 16-17 mpg mixed driving and 19-20 mpg if I can avoid frequent stop and go. I know you have the 5.4L but that is quite a difference in mpg. I love the 6-speed tranny but if your engine is not running right it might seem the shifting is screwed up.

Have you tried resetting the system by disconnecting power?

Is your truck in 09? I know there was a tsb for the transmission.
