2006 F150 5.4 Supercrew Transmission Wiped out

At 30,000 miles I had Trnamission service done at the dealer I bought it from and just recently I was having problems with shifting issue and noise when I would put it in park. Brought it to the dealer and they said that they would not be able to look at it that they were snowed under so I said I would take it home and call to make a appoitment. Got it home and the engine was acting like it was going to die so I was able to get it backed out of the garage and called a wrecker and brought it back to the dealer and it was put on the rack the next week and the said that the #7 and #8 thrust bearing was gone and the caused the transmission to get wiped out. My first thought was maybe the screen or what ever directs flow in the transmission screwed up causing no flow to these bearings. I really do not know how the flow goes in these transmissions. Wish I could get some info to ask the service tech or maybe the service manager. I sure they are not going to tell me that it was a problem with something they did. I was just glad of purchasing the extended warrenty. I drive like a paw,paw and I know I'm not hard on this truck. I owned a 1989 F 250 standard shift and when I sold it 17 years later and it had 178,000, it still had the original cluch in it. Wish someone could inlighten on what I need to do. Thanks

Take advantage of your extended warranty and get the transmission repaired. It happens.

did they already take it out the car and disassemble it? cuz if they havent it would be impossible to give you the cause of failure and what parts are bad with out even seeing it... sounds a little fishy to me but if it all under warranty let them do what they want.
