DONE! my Pioneer AVIC Z110BT. gps, bluetooth, dvd, blah, blah, blah

I tried a Pioneer AVH P6000DVD for almost a week and decided I wanted something else instead of just DVD playback.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/mu...0dvd-unit.html

So I decided on this, a Pioneer AVIC Z110BT. Nav, DVD, Bluetooth, voice comand, SD card slot etc...

Here's the pics. excuse the dust. didn't realize it would show up this much.

enjoy!

Please tell me you got a deal on it? I have a Z2 with Z3 maps and I love it. I was thinking about buying that model but I need to find a store with it first to play with it. I just don't like the fact that you can't have split screens but thats not a real biggy.

For those interested in buying the z110bt, check this out.

Pioneer is offering a $200 rebate for the 110bt until 12/31/2009 if you purchase the unit from an authorized online Pioneer dealer. On top of that, www.6ave.com is running their 'name your price' deal until 10/28/2009. A lot of guys have reported buying the 110bt from 6ave.com for $1,098 and then getting a $200 rebate from Pioneer, so they paid $898 for the unit. Great deal. I don't even have my truck yet but I'm ordering the radio now to get that deal... LOL.

From what I've read on www.AVIC411.com, there is very little delay on this one, if any at all. Go check out that forum - one of the admins posted several informative demo videos on youtube. You might go check those out as well. And there is no remote... sucks, because I love using a remote. Supposedly you can control virtually everything by voice commands...

To gixxer - A few questions if you don't mind:

Which cable are you using for the iPhone? Is that the Pioneer CD-IU50V?

Where did you look to see which wiring harness to use?

Did you buy a module to retain the steering wheel controls? I've seen the SWI-PS but haven't finished digging on that one.

2010 SCrew Lariat - not sure on the radio yet. Was going to get Navigation, but when I found the 110bt for that price and learned that there's no good override for the OEM system, I changed my mind.

I figure there's probably only one other radio availablefrom Ford... but everything's going to get changed out anyways. New HU, amps, speakers, etc.

Pioneer released an update that was supposed to fix that. It's actually a WinCE update, and it definitely improves the response time on buttons and **** in general

-the CD-IU50V is the cable i'm using. i forgot to add it when i ordered the unit so I payed the $50 from Best Buy.

-I got the harness from Crutchfield.

-unfortunately, I don't have steering wheel controls, so I didn't have to worry about that. fortunately if I did, that would've been more money to spend. lol

These plugs here: http://www.installer.com/item/displa...p?it=71-5520-1 are the same as those that come out of the vehicle and INTO the radio. I need the opposite of these.
