L Rear Sway Bar On A 8.8

Like the title says, I'm trying to figure out how to adapt the stock Lightning rear sway bar to fit on an 8.8 axle.

The problem I ran into is the bracket the the sway bar is supposed to mount to bolts onto the axle right where the axle tube begins on the left and right side of the pumpkin. Well on the drivers side there is a brakeline 3-way connector thats mounted on the axle almost right where the bracket should go.

So my question is... what should i do?
try to relocate the 3-way connector
or something else?

Has anyone else ever put an L sway bar on a 8.8?

any help is appreciated.

damn i need to get all the remaining hardware for mine so i can get it put on

I think if you just put a spacer under the 3 way and used a longer bolt you would be fine. Arent you only needing like an inch of clearance?

the u bolts fit, i need to trim off the arm thingy that comes off the bracket tho since it has no use on the 8.8 axle

the 3 way needs to be moved an inch or two to the left IIRC
i really dont wanna cut and flare new hardlines.
i also cant really tell how that 3-way thing is mounted to the axle..

well if i had a truck to crawl under i could help you out with the 3 way solution, hmm lemme see what i can find

looks like according to the ford service diagrams, you pull the vent hose off and there is a nut underneath it.

i forwarded this link to him and he followed the how to and said he got it put on there and noticed a HUGE difference in ride quality.

im hoping to score one off Lrodder or something whenever i have some money.

either put shorter end links on it, or move the mounts up higher on the frame. Pretty simple.

Ive got a L rear sway bar in Austin, but i need to get all the hardware for it still

im thinking about just buying the stock endlinks and mounting them higher up on frame than they are stock or trying to find some shorter ones like these hotchkis ones...
