cooper zenon or nitto terra grappler....or other
im gonna have to buy new tires for my 05 f150 with 18 inch wheels its all stock 4x4. i am leaning towards the cooper zenon ltz or the nitto terrra grappler tire. any pros cons anyone had these and can make suggestions from past experience as far as treadlife and traction in the wet? i was also considering the general grabber at2 but through some searching some people seem to think of them as a lesser class tire... is this accurate ? also open to other tire suggestions. thanks
The Nitto Terra Grappler is one of the best all terrian tires available. The Toyo AT is also essentially the same tire (they are both manufactured by Toyo). The Cooper Zenon ltz is also getting great reviews by members here.
A friend of mine has the Terra Graplers on a set of XD wheels on his '05 Ram and for the time he has had them on there (little over a year) they seem to be wearing perfectly. He says nothing but good things about them. We had a bad ice storm here last winter and he said he had zero problem getting around.
I'm wondering the same thing! I heard they only come in 10 ply and ride rough. I'd like to see some pictures of them too. I need tires for an FX4 18" rim.

I have the zeon ltz's on my truck for about 10,000 miles now. They do not show much wear at all. I see no reason I should not be able to get 50,000 out of them. I am very happy with them. They are fairly quiet on road and do as well as any other AT tire I have experienced off road. They look good and ride well for their size and aggressive look.
nitto is the best in my opinion i have some terra and they are smooth but if ur looking for aggressive tire get the mud grappler those are nice not that loud we have them on a f250 and the trk is a daily driver and we havent had any problem to this day
I like the look of the Nitto Terra Grappler as well but at almost $100 more per tire than the Zenon. I will go with them first. I know alot of guys on here say that the Nitto's wear for ever, but I just dont believe it. I have seen three sets put on vehicles of people I work with and I am just not at all pleased with there life expectancy.
