engine turns but wont start
engine turns but wont start
I have a 94 f150 that i just rebulit a 302 and dropped in. I had the timing set on it by a well known mechanic and while he was doing that he was checking other things as well. He told me to turn it off and later had me to start it again but this time it would not start. He checked the fuel rail and gas shot out of it but it still would not start. I can hear both fuel pumps running when i turn the ignition switch on. When we throw gas in the throttle body it will start and stay running but if i cut it off and try to start it again it wont start. I did not use the factory injectors or fuel rail . I found some rebuilt injectors and a fuel rail on line. Can anyone help me
check the plug wires. my buddys '86 did the same thing after new coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires all that. (he changed it not me) then i broke out the haynes and EVERY plug wire was crossed.
and if not that make sure theres gas in it
thats what happened to my boss's truck!
and if not that make sure theres gas in it
if it starts when you poor gas down the tb then its a fuel issue. check the actual fuel pressure with a gauge. just because it squirts fuel out doesnt mean its enough. also check the injector pulses. did you change anything else other than the engine? pcm? harness? any sensors? distributor? anything?
