Max tire size for stock 20 in. wheels 08 4x4

I am sure this has been asked many times but what is the max tire size I can put on the stock 20 inch wheels on a 08 F-150 4x4. I don't have a leveling kit. If I decide to do a leveling kit what do you guys suggest for me to use.

Yes, it has. Stock, you can fit a 305/55-20 (33x12.50). If you add a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit you can fit a 35x12.50-20 tire but they will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock.

Any certain brand of leveling kit you would advise. I have seen prices all over the place from $ 70 and up.

Honestly, they are all about the same. It's a really simple product and it would be really hard to make a bad one. A lot of people here use the Autospring kit. It's a quality kit at a good price. No need to pay tripple the price for an identical product.

I have a 08 MarkLT and went with the Rancho QuickLift and Rancho 9000 shocks. I love it. Now all I need is a set of Toyo MT.

They are basically a 35x11.50-20 tire. I know at least one member here has that size.

I'm running 285/65/20's on my Ultra Titan 6 wheels with a 2" AutoSpring leveling kit.

20 inch tire size

Just wanted to respond, I got a lot of good comments and help from this forum. I was able to get a 285 60 20 (33.5 x 11.5) Duratrac on my 08 FX4. No level kit, and no rub. The 275 65 20 may have been a stretch, almost 2 inches taller than the factory 275 55 20. Some others have been running the 305 60 20 Nitto's but some mention a slight rub. Either way, so far I am happy and looks like a 33.5 x11.5 is no problem without a lift or level. Thanks all for help.

Running 35X12.50 ProComp Xtreme A/T with stock 20's and a 2.5" Daystar level kit. Some minor rubbing as stated above but nothing major at all.
