surprisingly I had BOTH of my fans go out at the same time on my FAL270 set up and they were both controlled indepedantly from each other with there own relay, one for A/C and one for temp. So it is possible that they both went out. Like they said wire them direct to the battery with a jumper and see if they turn on. also see if they spin freely or if there is some resistance. On mine the brushes were burnt to hell and I dont know why unless it was from the previouse owner not using the correct gage wire, I bought my FAL270 used off of craigs list so no telling. In the mean time if you still have your stock fan put it back on.
