Has anyone used any type of roll on or spray on bed liner. I`m trying to replicate the spray on bed liner on a small buget.

 

I've seen other guys do it and was never impressed. Doesn't looks as good IMO and I was always brought up with do it right or don't do it at all attitude. There's a reason why Line-X and Rhino Liner are pricier and backed by warranties. Besides basic Line-X wasn't that expensive and I have the satisfaction of knowing it was done right the first time.

 

Don't bother there is no way in the world to get replicate a spray with that garbage. To get it even half as thick as a spray you would end up spending twice as much.

Like others.... don't do it yourself as I've never seen one look good. I'm getting a rhino lining installed Sat for $299.00

 

Incorrect, very incorrect....

Any bedliner is only as good as the application and prep. I sanded with 3 types of sandpaper then wiped bed down with acetone 3 times and used 2 gallons of hurculiner. This stuff is tuff and I'm very happy with the results.

 

Now wait 3 or 4 months and compare your photos to reality. You will be cursing yourself for breaking your knuckles.

looks pretty good but id like to see how it holds up.

ive got 12yr old toff stuff rhino lining in my 98 and its help up amazing. the technology has progressed since then so it does need to be cleaned often and is slightly grey but it does its job,

i also just had my bumpers done in the thin, hard rhino lining and it looks better than i could have done myself and well worth the price. that how i look at it, pay for it once and its done.

You're comparing a DIY to a professional spray on in a DIY thread...How is that on topic?

We all know professionally spray on will kill any DIY but it also can kill a wallet which is why DIY are used and trust me my jets are way cooled, I'm only pointing out the obvious.

 

Yet your bashing my post providing a comparison and how they may be expensive but the outcome will be better in the long run. And what about the other posts before me saying not to do a diy and do a pro one are immune from your off topic comment?

I'm not being a jerk here I just don't see it as off topic as I was commenting on how I would like to see how your diy holds up in the long run to my spray in. I find it on topic as this info would help in the decision on doing a diy liner over a pro

Herculiner, Duplicolor, Durabak, Monstaliner, Qwikliner, U-Pol Raptor, Al's Liner.

 

New to this forum and wanted to give my thoughts on the Al's Liner. I applied it to my truck bed 2 months ago and should have used 2 kits instead of one. I did not realize that I was going to run short. So I am in the process of bringing in a discounted bulk order to Alberta so I can do the rockers and redo the bed. Sharing the shipping costs with others gets us a better deal per kit. I am impressed with the application of the product and the durability till this point. I think that it is as durable as other liners and in my opinion is the best DIY kit on the market. My 2 cents for today. Cheers, Arnie
