If I were going to spend that kind of money I'd spend a bit more and get a DA. Orbitals are useless for anything except applying wax. If that's all you want one for, get a Harbor Freight cheapie.

From what I understand, it's more or less a copy of a G110, or something of the sort.

Granted, to me (I know it's not how a lot see it), anything without forced rotation is a RO.

 

If it's a copy of a G110, then it's a DA, not a RO, and that's a good price.

Try the Porter Cable 7424XP. $109.00 will get you a much better investment in a detailing polisher. The next step up would be a Flex XC3401VRG, or a Cyclo, but they're both closer to $300.

I have a rotary and a Cyclo and I love them both. I'd like to try the new Griot's unit that has just came out in June.

 

I thought I would re-visit this to tell you guys I tried the new 850 watt DA sampler model we have floating around and liked it so much I bought one. So much in fact I rarely use my rotary anymore. This thing is a beast and has just as much torque as a rotary without the worry of damage. Definitely worth the money:

What are the rpm`s on this machine. I have the pc7424 and love it but I tried the pc7424xp and didnt like it as much. Im not saying its bad just the original is more comfertable to use for me.

I have a Flex and love the results. Have used it to take out scratches as well as apply wax to get a mirror finish. I have a milwaukee rotary and it wastes a lot of polish by throwing it everywhere. The flex is a hybrid of a DA/rotary. The head is forced to spin along with the DA action. It a well made tool. Dam germans at it again.
