How do I link to my old gallery?

How do I find my old Gallery? I have seen people with links to both old and new. BTW what happened?

I have some pics of my truck just after I added my mods.

Quick search in this forum :
https://www.f150online.com/forums/qu...her-album.html

- This had an add on question on the old albums

The direct link to an album is :
https://www.f150online.com/galleries...lery.cfm?gnum= ( gallery number )

For you, the gallery number from your public profile, in the about me tab : 11857

This would make the direct URL :
https://www.f150online.com/galleries...cfm?gnum=11857

This will only work for viewing, and to make it easier, just copy the pictures ( right click save as to your local drive ) from the old, and upload them into the new album.

Not sure what you were asking about with the question :
BTW what happened?
What happened with _______ ? ( please fill in the blank )

A software update last year made the old galleries unusable, and there have been several threads here requesting that members transfer the pics to the new system.

It is not dead, the gallery is Service Temporarily Unavailable ( 503, not 404 error ).

That is a good reason to pull the photos when they are up and running. The service is still hanging around so posts don't loose the pictures, but it should not be a primary access usage.

Posted a notification about it, might want to check back later. The old gallery does this from time to time.

That old gallery system had been coming and going for a long time.

I've brought the issue to the tech team... maybe (hopefully) we'll be able to update the community as to the status sometime tomorrow.

After this amount of time, and with all the announcements, isn't it time to just let them die? If I were running the show, I wouldn't waste any more time on them.

Move them. I did as directed , -way back when..You can thro them all on your desktop for now. Then at your own pace , upload or back them up somewhere for later. The more alternets the better if their important to you

I had close to 500 photo's in the old gallery lol. -Anyway, they go everywhere with me now . - I thru the shots on the d-top, CD, DVD, Thumb-drive and whatever else I had in the arsenal.
________

Stealth summed it up in his post. The Old Galleries are accessible 90% of the time, - So give it another try

You have to cater to every one. The more casual users like me who arent on here every day dont see the announcements. Sometimes it may even be a couple of months that go by. This is a forum for all of us.

BTW. I finaly got thru on the link. Thanks!

I'm fully aware of that - but this has been an issue for over a YEAR now.

I finaly got thru on the link.
I'd highly recommend you download all the pics while you can!

Yep. The issue revolves around an old gallery system (cold fusion) trying to work with newer software.

Me too. I've been hearing about and seeing 'bandwidth conservation' moves on several of IB's sites (ours included). The old gallery system isn't going to be around forever...

Not only that, but it seems to me you could free up a LOT of storage space by dumping the old galleries and the software needed to run it. This site is being very generous just allowing members to HAVE free albums - I do not have an album or gallery system on the forum that I admin, people have to use Photobucket, etc. However, I do allow attachments, with strict size restrictions.

It's a community feature that we like and one that we intend to support but, that said, the old gallery system is certainly on the chopping block.

It would be in EVERYONE'S best interest to pull photos that you wish to keep from the OLD gallery system. It will vanish one day -- and I can't guarantee anyone that I'll know about it before it vanishes as sometimes things just 'happen'.
