i have an 06 f150 xlt and the message center quits working when the day gets hotter out. when i leave in the mornings it will work fine(tell me mileage temp and direction) but usually by lunch time when i start the truck it is just blank, the back light will be on but nothing else. any ideas? if this is common dont yell at me im not too good on computers and dont know how to search

 

I'm assuming the message center displays again when the truck cools down, right? LCD displays do this when they get too hot. I'd try parking in the shade, cracking your windows, and/or getting one of those windshield sun shades.

 

thats correct it works again when it cools down. it just started out of the blue though a few days ago and i park right next to my buddys 04 fx4 and its fine

 

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this it is driving me nuts
