Do some research on the 2.7L Dodge V6 that they put in their Stratus Sedans from 2001-2007. Yes, if your engine craps out after only 100K I think Ford should make you one hell of a deal on a new one or repair of the old one unless its your fault for not taking care of it. Would you expect Ford to help you with your plug issue if the plugs in your 5.4L broke off? Hell yeah you would. I haven’t seen one thread on here of anyone that is happy to pay for that cost. And some of those are in warranty!
Come on, nobody deserves to get a mere 100K from an engine and you know this. Would you pay another 20-45K for a truck that is only good for 100K? No, you wouldn’t. If you’re in the business I can guarantee you have made better deals for some than you have for others. If you say differently, then your lest trustworthy than you sound. Feedback and complaints is what makes companies make improvements. As a business, you do right by your customers so they keep coming back; you don’t screw them. I’m not saying they should give him a free one but 80.00? That’s a rip off especially if he paid over 600.00 for it.
