They are basically a 34x12.00-17 tire.

Pics please, I'd like to see. Off the top of my head, it's equivilent to 33.5" by 11.8" wide, 295 is 5mm shy of 300mm which is 12" so it's that close.

LT295/70R17 128P E/10 (33X11.50R17) are the specs for Toyo Open Country MTs. Therefore it really depends on the brand and type of tire in order to find it's equivalent size...

BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM2s, LT285/70R17/D, are 11.5" wide on 8.5" wheels and are 33" tall. They do not make LT295/70R17s. At least they do not list them...
Cooper Discoverer ATR LT285/75R16 are 11.47"s wide and 32.6"s tall. They do not make LT295/70 R17s either and they are not an MT tire...

ok. well after i get a 3 inch body lift i wanted to get 35/12.50/17. thats the biggest i could go on my truck with the 3 inch lift with minimal trimming. what would 35/12.50/17 be eqivalent to in a cooper discover stt? or a mickey thompson radial claw? or bfg at and mud terrain?

Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial, 35X12.50R17LT, are 12.7"s wide and 34.9"s tall.
Cooper Discoverer ATR, LT315/70R17, are 12.65"s wide and 34.35"s tall.

For BFG tires go to their web site...
