Wiring Diagram for Audiophile 05 & 06

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the 05 AND 06 audiophile radios? I put an '06 in my 05 and lost the illumination and seek goes back instead of forward. I want to find out which wires are what and hook to my oscilloscope. Supposedly there is way to fix the illumination by shorting a diode but no one has given instruction other than it can be done. I just want to see what is going on so I can fix it. Thanks

I don't know if this will help, but here they are for your reference. They are Adobe Acrobat PDF's. You can also save them if you'd like!

Your the man, I really appreciate the help on this

I see the schematic on the '07 is missing the resistor values for the steering controls which may be my problem. I think my radio I got off ebay is a '07 cause the '06 & '05 seem identical from your schematics. Thanks

I don't think I can help you on the resistor info. No problem at all man. You are most welcome for the . I'm just trying to do my part and give back to the forums for all the help I have received. This is great place for reference info. You should thank the mods for helping keep this place that we Ford enthusiast call home...

Thanks MFD that diagram is tremendously helpful. I put in an aftermarket HU and have been trying to piece together why my sub hasn't been working. I have determined that the OEM sub pin connector is missing, as I have 4 wires that match the colors of that set.

I do have a question. If I am to hard wire these wires, what should the black(shield) wire be connected too? The rest I have figured out.

Thanks again!

sorry one more quick question. How do I take the RCA connector from the new HU and connect them to the sub pos/neg wires? Can I just splice an rca cable and match it?

ok new question! the good news I answer most of my own questions.

I just broke down and bought the connectors, easy install and sub works. The issue is some popping when I turn on the truck. also the adapter doesn't seem to have anything attached to the ground. any ideas how to solve the popping?

Did you get this fixed. I purchased one from a 2008 Fusion because I wanted the chrome ***** and now I have no illumination either.

I can add to the diagrams that pin 7 on the 24-pin connector is for phone mute and pins 4 and 5 on the 16-pin harness are audio (+) and (-) for phone audio input.

This info from the Ford Mobile-Ease harness #3W4Z-14A411-AA that I just put in my '06 w/ Audiophile and SAT for use with a Nokia car kit. This allows muting of the factory radio by the phone kit (any third-party kit should work) and incoming call audio to be heard over the front speakers, as well as volume adjusting with the steering wheel controls which is a plus.
