How do you disable seatbelt chime?

Is there a way to disable the seatbelt chime system?

I drive house to house in neighborhoods for work and am sick of this beeping.

Normally I would just say look in the manual like others but it sounds as if you are legitimately needing this for work and it is your safety after all, this is how you do it. I copied it from a manual in PDF from online.

"One time disable
If at any time the driver/front passenger quickly buckles then unbuckles
the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position, the Belt-Minder™ is
disabled for the current ignition cycle. The Belt-Minder feature will
re-enable during the same ignition cycle if the occupant buckles and
remains buckled for approximately 30 seconds. Confirmation is not given
for the one time disable.
Deactivating/activating the Belt-Minder feature
The driver and front passenger Belt-Minder are
deactivated/activated independently. When deactivating/activating
one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this will
terminate the process.
Read Steps 1 - 4 thoroughly before proceeding with the
deactivation/activation programming procedure.
The driver and front passenger Belt-Minder features can be
deactivated/activated by performing the following procedure:
Before following the procedure, make sure that:
• The parking brake is set
• The gearshift is in P (Park)
• The ignition switch is in the off position
• The driver and front passenger safety belts are unbuckled

1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. DO NOT START THE
ENGINE.
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (Approximately one
minute)
• Step 3 must be completed within 50 seconds after the safety belt
warning light turns off.
3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the
safety belt nine times, ending in the unbuckled state. (Step 3 must be
completed within 50 seconds after the safety belt warning light turns
off.)
• After Step 3, the restraint system warning light (airbag light) will be
turned on for three seconds.
4. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle
then unbuckle the safety belt.
• This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently enabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds.
• This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently disabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds, followed by
three seconds with the light off, then followed by the restraint system
warning light flashing four times per second for three seconds again."

No problem, google is your friend. Also, normally I don't prefer to spoon feed but if it is for work I assume the company probably pulled the manual from the truck and placed away in a file cabinet already and no use to him. So yeah not a problem, lol.

Well its not a work truck that an employer gave me. I have my own pool cleaning company and use the truck for work. But nonetheless I was much happier to do the disable during work today and no longer hear that darn thing beep at me all day. Thanks again yetti!

I must say its pretty nice they put it in the manual on my old Tacoma they didn't do that you just had to find it somehow on google.

My new 09 F150 is on the way so this post is good news - but do I need a 14 year old to do it ??
What about the other buzzers ? I removed all of them on my 03 and it's been peaceful ever since.

As of 2004 you cannot remove the buzzers like you could on the 03 and older trucks. On my 04 I took the steering wheel off and removed the wire that senses the key in the ignition. I haven't had time to research on this truck to see if it works the same. But on the 04 once you remove that wire all the beeps went away except for the ones you need like leaving the headlights on.

Note: if you wanted to do it the easy way you could just cut the wire under the dash without having to remove anything but then you could have warranty issues if you had to visit a crappy dealership or god knows what else, so i just done it the "right way" so it could be put back and leave no trace it was ever removed.

Has anything done this on the 09's or even know if its setup the same?
I have next weekend off (as of right now) so I should know something by Aug 3rd :-)

IXTAC - I know this is a really old post but I need your advise. We have a 04 ford f150 and the drivers side seat belt buckle has a broken wire in there that causes it to chime constantly. They want a fortune to replace the buckle. Can you give me more details on removing the steering wheel or cutting the wire that senses the key? What color is that wire? How hard is it to remove the steering wheel and how do I find that wire and not remove the wrong one? Thanks for your help.
