The Ford ecoboost tt sounds like it is similar to my 535i tt I6 set up. BMW has two smaller turbos operating much like Ford describes here. My 535 is tuned for 300hp with factory boost levels set at a very conservative 6lbs of boost. DINAN has available software for the 535 that adds 80hp and 100ft lbs of torque...with no other modifications necessary. Guys with the 335i's and 535i's have been going this route with much success. BMW also claims that two smaller turbos help to eleminate turbo lag as they "spool up" quicker. I have noticed some lag - but honestly not very much. I am curious though that Ford would set their boost levels at 13lbs as that's pretty high for a stock factory setting (I think I read that right). I wonder if you will be able to safely increase that level or if it's pretty much topped out at 13lbs of boost? Don't worry about losing the V8 - Ford's next logical step is to tt the V8...much like BMW has done with several of their 2009 models....
