I'm not a big fan of dish soap on my vehicle. I haven't seen anything first hand to back up that feeling. It just doesn't seem right. I'd rather use a soap designed for the task at hand.

NASSTY, I don't know what you're using for tire shine, but something like Meg's HD or Optimum's tire shine can be applied to an applicator and spread on. That's how I apply it all the time so I don't have to reclean my wheels.
