Dish soap is harsher on paint.There is no wax on my uncured paint so I don't have to worry about stripping wax off it.The body man suggested to use it (IF) you must wash it in the first month before the paint is cured.He suggested it because he knows it has no silicones in it and you don't want any silicones or waxes,sealers etc. on the paint before it cures.I'm sure certain car wash soaps don't have silcones or polishes in them.He didn't want to risk me using a soap that does so he suggested dish soap for an occasional wash.
Another thing I'm doing to prevent getting silicone on my uncured paint: No tire shine to be sprayed anywhere near this vehicle for 1 month.It's too hard to control overspray
