Rough Country 6" lift
Should I leave 2.5 Level on and get a 6" lift / 35" BFG KM2 / Rough Country(PICS)
So here is my issuse, my wife is going to get my 305s put back on my truck today, for $200.00 more my friend will hook me up with the 35" KM2. I was talking to local shop about the 6" rough country lift and told him i have a 2.5 level. He told me that if i leave the level on I would have to add an AAL($225 installed) to the rear and it would void his warranty, due to the possiblity of drive line vibrations. My question is does it make a big difference with/without the level and AAL? Pics Plz
**Also anyone have any good/bad things to say about either the lift or the KM2s?

I know a lot of people dont recommend the rough country, and you can get a pro comp for the same price. But you also have the option to doing a rear shackle lift rather than add-a-leaf. They are cheaper and easier to install too.
What are the specs on your wheels? I have a 2.5" leveling kit and a autospring leveling kit in the back and run 35" tires with setup and only rub full steer lock in reverse to the left not really a big deal but my wheels are 17x8 with 5.2" of BS and +18 offset.
My wheels are 18X9 with +30mm offest, my wife got the tires on a little while ago, had my friend test them out and he said there was no major rub. So we will see my next issue is 6" with 2.5 level and AAL or just 6". I will post pics soon of my truck stock, with 285s A/T, 305sA/T and 35KM2" and with the 6" when I make up my mind. I have had the truck for a year and this is third set of tires. I should of went with these to start with.

I LOVE my KM2s. 10k miles and they have barely worn at all. They hum but its not that loud, and they are great in the rain and ridiculous offroad. You will love 'em.
Look for some 18x9 wheels with ~5.4" backspacing. Thats what I have and it sticks out about 1.5" further than yours. But I also have a full suspension lift.

Now, the lift kit doesn't usually affect how far your tires stick out, that is all tire width and rim backspace. With the +30 you are at the factory offset, the only way to change it now would be new rims or wider tires. I guess you could look at spacers, but I have always bought to have them tucked in as much as possible. I have +18 rims and if you look at the album in my profile you can see how they stick out (just slightly). As far as the lift kit is concerned, read the install instructions for RC and PC not much difference between the two, with the major exception being you get the brace in front on the PC that goes straight across vs conforming up into the factory setup like the RC does. The RC just looks cleaner to me. I did a lot of research on these kits and although I can't say one is better than the other, it seems a lot of people will recommend you not to get the RC just because. ??? When I was considering it, everyone that I found on here that has an RC likes them. Good luck in your decision.
Come home, and be safe over there.
Thanks I hope the truck looks good with the tires not sticking out as far as most ppls due. I think i am going to do a 6" Lift with a 2" spacer and an AAL. I been doing some research and the coilovers will still give the same angel on the CV joints as a spacer correct?

Thanks, I kinda like the look of the 6" with 35" with the level. Some 6" inches look small on trucks (my personal opinion) I think a 1.5 inch level on front with an AAL and 6" would be a good combo.
