hello all just a follow up with more info on the exact diagnostic scan that i had gotten it says as follows for my Tcc trouble code i don't have the exact number of the code but the paper says as follows BBECM energized the TCC solenoid and detected no BB voltage drop on the circuit probable cause BB1 Open or shorted solenoid BB2 open or shorted circuit condition Having a bad Tcc solenoid could this cause some of my trans issues? slippage upon take off? it does not stall as described in other posts i have read just slips when taking off from a light once at highway speed is fine any help please? thanks john

 

Why are you opening new threads? This makes 4 now and it's going to be very confusing trying to follow the whole situation. The way a forum runs, you should keep replying to the original thread till the issue is solved.

 

if you read the individual posts you will see they are different questions and the last is adding additional information that wasnt in the first intial thread thats why i opened additonal threads

 

if you are of no help then don't bother posting a reply

 

If you have to add information, you REPLY TO YOUR THREAD, not open a new one! I don't think anyone around here is going to try to help you when they have to read 4 separate threads to try to get an idea what's going on.

hum. looks like you nailed your own problem, why havent you dropped the pan to check if the tcc solenoid needs replaced? its not like its hard to come by or expensive.

 

my main question is if the tcc solenoid is bad would it cause some of the issues i'm having? the slippage upon take off ?

 

and you are right klitch they are not hard to come by or to replace just a little pricey local parts store wants a hundred bucks for one i found a place online that they are only 20 bucks but i'm doing more research first i'm a little leary of the price difference as far as you mr.glc i had no attitude you don't want to give helpful info don't reply

 

In case you didn't notice, I posted replies in all 3 of your other threads trying to be helpful. Then again, being that you kept opening new threads instead of following up I can understand how you may have overlooked that little detail.

I'm trying to get you good help here, not give you a hard time. Good help is hard to come by when you make people look all over the forum.

I really dont know for sure, never had that issue. i suppose it may be possible, but the kicker is you're using diag codes that usually says to replace the solenoid if its in question.

 

thanks fellas for the info i guess i'll try draining the converter and replacing the solenoid and see what happens i've allready done the filter and fluid change i didn't know the converter had a drain plug other wise i would of drained it at the time i did the filter change hopefully it will help once again guys thanks for the info

 

hey all just adding a little more info of symptoms for my truck i guess me being leary and not trying to grenade the tranny i have been drivining it sparingly and not laying on the gas but it seems when i do it almost acts like a trans brake !! it engages and wham!! stil wandering more if it could be the tcc or epc solenoid? i have ordered both and am going to install and drain the converter any new thoughts on this harsh engagement?
