With noly 6" lift yes the warranty should cover the ball joints being that there not under anymore stress than they are from factory height. Also Ford uses the 6" Procomp Stage I lift on there trucks that they lift and sale. A Ford service tech told me that warranty will cover anything unless they can prove what you added to the truck cause that part to fail/brake. And it's quite easy to see that if my ball joints went out that the extra 2.5" lift will cause extra stress on them.

I haven't had an rubbing issues with the extra 2.5" lift. It's not as close as it looks in the picture. Would have to get a better view from the side. Procomps kit doesn't come with aftermarket Control Arms.
