Project Freak Nasty
I am in need of a locker, can anyone confirm that this will work in my truck before i buy it? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-4204-P31/
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
If your truck came from the factory with a 5.4 in it then it should have a 9.75 rear in it.
If it was a 4.6 then it would be 8.8
I don't remember what rear you have but the link is for a 8.8
I would hope you have a 9.75!

8.8 is what i got
I have had talked to a chassis shop and a few guys around here and they all told me to rock the 8.8. I am getting the axle tubes welded, and braced, and a locker of some type. My buddy with the f1R Fox said their is tons of mustang guys running 8.8's and hitting them with a big hit of spray off the line which is a ton harder on it than boost is. Hell he said he is running a 8.8 under his car still. I asked about how much i weighed and they have all told me i would be fine. The rear was gone through about 2 years ago by a local shop and had all new bearings, seals, and 4.10's installed. I still drive the truck on the street and that is one of my main goals is to be fully streetable but for what i can buy a locker for (550ish) i could buy a spool (200ish) and be done with it for a lot cheeper but would eat tires like no other.
I bought the bogarts and hoosiers last fall. The first day i got them we put them on and were playing with the tire pressure in front of the house. I said one more pass before i put it up and it made a pop sound. Now when i bring it up on stall it pops. After talking with a few people, i have came to the conclusion it is more than likely the limited slip taking a ****. I havent had the bogarts on since. I wasnt going to but them on till i got the rear issues fixed. The weather for this wednesday is 78* and i really want to got to the track and get some real data since friday was a total waste of time. After wednesday it is warming back up in the 90's so i am more than likely going to pull all the weight out of it and throw the slicks on and haul it to the track wednesday. I want to see what it is going to do so i know what direction to go next.

No not quite lol, my dad owns a big lawn and landscape company so i just use one of the trucks and trailers. The rig i usually take is a 18ft Corn Pro trailer that we haul the skid steer on and i usually take our dump truck its a 05 f350 6.0. The truck and trailer are both overkill for what the truck weighs but i can set the cruise and rock on with no problems. Its a nice setup.
In the 1/4 that would be a high 11.

My 11.7 1/4 had a 7.5 @92 1/8
