The easiest way to get the upper bellhousing bolts is to let the trans and t-case hang down, by removeing the trans cross member first. undo the upper bellhousing bolts first, then you can lift up the trans and remove the remaining ones after. dont let the trans hang down much more that 4" and the rear trans mount or you risk damageing fan or shroud. tho i must admit, in all the years i removed trannys at ford, letting them hang all the way down, i have only ever broken a couple fans, and they were in explorers.
