i had mine ported orginal time was 14.2 with tunes and a pulley and tires were 285/70/17. put on long tube headers hiflow cats and port and went 14.5 on aftermarket wheels and tires 305-70-17 those mud tires are about 3 inches wider so i had alot more weight to get up and go and they almost spun to the 60ft
i have new tunes now and a valve body want to put the little tires on and try to break into a 13's,
so to anwser your question did it help i say the blower is louder and you have alot more power on the higer rpm's, as far as faster i cant really say cause my two runs one was on a cool day the other on a hot day with bigger tires.
but i can beat up on mustangs
