i think with the weight you haul, and the amount of power your throwing though your drivetrain a 1 ton axle would be nice.

Id say around 8" of lift would be PLENTY to clear 40's if you set it up right. Cut out the IFS crossmember, and get the thing nice and flexy.

If not then id say 12" of lift (8" lift springs) and 40's

The amount of lift is alot different when doing this.

My rear springs are only 12" lift springs but im around 22" of suspension lift. front springs are 16" lift springs. I used a block in the rear cause im gonna do a shackle flip for more flex and i didnt want to have to buy smaller springs.

You have to account for the axle tubes, spring perches, and hangers into the amount of lift.
