Patman has put together several kits and sold them to members on this site. What is being missed here is that you can put together a kit that is superior to most of the kits offered by the retailers. Every kit I have seen uses straps or plastic ties to hold the fans in place. These wiggle and rub holes in the tubes causing radiator leaks. My point was/is that if you can do a little cutting and drilling of aluminum straps and let Patman tell you where and what components, you will have a far superior fan setup. They work in this Texas heat, so they will work anywhere.

Not only will be be better, it costs less as you eliminate the middle man. That's just a bonus for a little of your time. If I could not do the mounting with aluminum brackets, I would not do a fan kit. You just ask for trouble when you use the plastic ties.

People are offering alterntives and advice. If you choose not to take it, not a problem. There is absolutly no reason for anyone to get snippy about it. I thought we were all about sharing knowledge and experience.
