Painted brake calipers/Painted Grill

After the disaster last attempt to remove my wheels myself (Ford torqued one of my lugs to over 250 ft lbs) I finally had the chance to paint my calipers and decided to paint the billet grill and grill surround as well:

before:

After:

Grill I wetsanded with 600 grit and then primed with Krylon black...then painted with 3 coats of Krylon Satin Black

Brake calipers were cleaned with caliper cleaner, then I used a drill with a metal brush attachment to polish them, then painted with 3 coats each of Duplicolor caliper paint.

Grill Removed:

Sanded:

Primed:

Painted:

Installed:

I used a 3 ton floor jack and 4 ton jack stands....ALWAYS use jack stands for safety, now onto the pictures:

I like the contrast of the red calipers against the black wheels.

Looks great, and the best part is you did it yourself in my opinion.

Thanks, I do all the work myself...only thing I haven't done myself is window tint, exhaust and my leveling kit.

Prep work for the calipers was spraying them with caliper cleaner, soap and water then used a drill with a metal brush attachment to scuff the surface and take the rust off
