I'm guessing it's the shifter where the middle seat would normally be. In front of the the radio and A/C stuff. If it is, has your cap come off or is it still on. The cap on mine came unglued and I lost the spring out of the middle. I had to pull the button out for a while or my key wouldn't come out of the ignition when I shifted to Park. Make sure that little spring or something else from the inside hasn't fallen down and is keeping it from going back in. I hope this works, I hate it when little stuff happens and it's not fixed easily.
