for the running boards I used Rust-Oluem Black Spray paint on all the chrome just do alot of prep work prior, use steel wool and some good brushes to really scratch them up then I sprayed about 5 thinner coats and they have actually help up really well now for a couple months.. just a thought, Im trying to figure out if I can paint my toolbox also right now also.
