Truxedo Lo Pro correct tension and placement question

I just bought an older used Truxedo Lo Pro.. in great shape. It is on my 05 Screw with 5.5 box.

I have a question about the correct adjustments, side rail height and front-to-back placement. In the instructions it says to place the side rails against the front of the cab. I did that and have the side rails level. I have the side rails even with the top of the bed rails and it looks very good.

My question is.. there seems to be a gap between the cover and the tailgate.. about ¼ inch or so. The rubber weather stripping does not meet my tailgate. The cover rolls closed fine and latches with tension.

Are the older ones lacking a wide rubber strip across the back? My strip is only about 1 inch.
Thanks

When I put my Lo Pro on I did the same thing. Just bring it forward enough so the rubber strip rests on top of the tailgate. It should still have enough weather stripping to cover the front as well. Mine had no issues. It did take a few tries to get it perfect though. Also, did it come with all the corder plugs?

Thanks.. yes it has all of the plugs and weather stripping. I ran it this past weekend and we had a bit of rain. Driving it seemed to do very well and the tension seemed fine, it did not flap hard at all and stayed pretty tight.

only a bit of water got in the bed from the run off of the cover.. I will need to find the medium ground for the weather stripping.

All in all a great cover and easy to access the full bed.
