So a long, looong time ago (2 years), I got an eaton setup off ebay. A couple of layoffs later and I'm about to get it installed. Just waiting for a few deliveries from the brown truck... a big thanks to Mike at Madenterprise for helping me get all the parts.

It's a pretty intimidating task to get this installed, so I'm leaning towards having a reputable shop in the area install it. This is my dd, so can't afford to have it down for a month.

 

built54 did boss1984's truck in about 10 hours, it's more of a delicate task hooking everything up


since it's out you may as well clean the intercooler and install an oil seperator

 

If I haven't already sent you some instructions/notes send me your email. 10 hrs sounds reasonable with fuel pump. Some of the items you can install on the truck before the SC to get a jump start, ie fuel pump, lower pulley, heat exchanger/pump/hoses.

Basically you strip top of motor down and then start putting all the stuff in the picture on, then a bunch more parts. Everything is plug and play. No drilling or welding or even cutting wires if you have the set up above in the picture. A piece of cake!

 

well, I wish Built54 lived in Cali. Love to have his expertise on hand to help me with the install. Plus, his truck is ridiculous

I can offer help as well as i have just finished the same task (just waiting on programmer to come from troyer on thursday). The whole process took me about 4 weeks, but the majority of that time was waiting for parts to come in the mail as i didnt have as complete of a setup as you (i had the kit from madenterprise and the blower and intercooler seperate). well, I just got a call from my installer, truck just came off the dyno:

361 rwhp and 470 ft/lb

according to my tuner, I'm seeing about 14 #s, which is kinda scary. i was shooting for 10. He said something about my y-pipe exhaust bumping the boost numbers up due to the restriction being caused. I have a set of Defi gauges I was going to install (boost, a/f, fuel press), but I'm wondering if I should sell that and get a true dual exhaust setup, maybe some headers... I've just got a catback flowmaster on there right now. what do you all think?

Man, if its not one thing after another, sounds like I'll need to get some traction bars or something, I was slipping around a bit when i was n/a, I can only imagine now.
