ofcourse, but when your on a budget a leveling kit works.
I would say a 2.5 should be good, but IMO don't get a 3 inch. I've seen some 3 inchers that look good, but on most of them the nose just sets to high for me. Another thing you can do is put add a leafs on the back to lift the back a little to.

Use a tape measure. Measure at wheel center point from the ground to the wheel well. Measure the front and the back. I want to lift mine also. I measured my 08' and 2" would put it dead level.

Im doing the 2" bilstein leveling kit... its more pricey then the spacer but its much more worth it IMO.

Bilsteins

If you want it to last and you don't mind spending a bit more, put the Bilstein 5100 series shocks on. It will level the front and give you an amazing ride in the long term.

I thought my shocks were okay until I added the Bilstein 5100's. Get them and kill 2 birds with one stone. (lift & ride) What an amazing difference!

Auto Spring you have to call them. I got mine for $90 shipped and put them on and i didnt see a change in my ride at all bc i was already running a 6" lift kit and 35s so i didnt see a change beside the front sat level. If your looking for the nice smooth ride quality in a truck then go ahead get the bilsteins but IMO i dont think they are worth buying to make the truck ride better and to get a lift out of it. BC to me a truck doesnt need to be a smoother ride then what it already is. So i say just get the Auto Spring leveling kit no bigger than 2.5 and install the thing yourself. But then again others have their opinions on this im sure. But in the long run do what you think is going to make you happy
