I can haul a couple bikes in the back no problem. But, wanted to be able to toss an air matress in the bed and sleep in the back there or use it for shelter during the HOT HOT days.

It's a lot better then hauling a trailer and being stuck to the 55mph limit we have in ca. Plus, I only like taking a trailer when there is more than just me going.
