Try doing a search, there are several older threads on this issue. They mention what all needs to be done, but don't say whether or not they've succeeded. I've got an 04 and was planning on doing the same thing. -still considering it actually- The main plug in on the back of your control unit is the same except for the #3 wire in the connector. It is the a/c demand signal wire from the cluster for manual a/c and the eatc unit does not use that wire. Instead, in the other eatc plug in (which you don't have) it uses a ubp bus signal wire from the other plug in on the back of the cluster. Other than that, the second plug in for the eatc (that you don't have) is for the heated seats (which I wouldn't use), auxiliary steering wheel climate control switches (which I wouldn't use) and the sunload sensor and blower motor speed control unit (which I would use) that your truck doesn't have. The blend door motors are the same for the manual a/c and eatc units, as are the cases. Oh, not to mention that the trim panel surrounding the radio and a/c controls is different too.
I'm planning on messing around with all of the wiring, I'll try to keep you updated.
