Position 4: P
Position 8: 5
2005 4x4 Supercrew Styleside with the 5.4
Little extra info... not sure if this is for F-150s only, but on a 1997 Expedition...

VIN Position 5-7: U18 - I'm assuming this means its an expedition
Axle code 15: 1 is listed, but 5 isn't on any lists I can find...

2000 F150 Heritage
my vin positions 5-7 are F17, which decodes as F-Series F150 Heritage 4X2 (Regular Cab) Styleside Truck
but...
what does that mean? what comes different in the 2000 F150 Heritage? i've searched everywhere, and i can only find that the Heritage was a 2004 only, but apparently that's not the case, at least according to my vin... or it's a time machine...
can you tell me what this is?
thanks
joe

I did find the missing Z code in position 4. It is:
Hydraulic Class D: 5,001-6,000 pounds
doesn't exactly say anything about restraint system, though (from Ford's 2000 VIN pdf) the Z code is under a column titled "Lt. Trucks w/Sec. Gen. Air Bags"
