stock i believe these trucks tend to put down 230-240 or so hp at the wheels which is a whopping 20% drivetrain loss in hp. now you add the 112 to the stock 300 and u get 412 at the crank. take off your 20% drivetrain loss and you get around 330 hp at the wheels. this is a bit higher than my 308 but maybe the factors i mentioned can explain for that...

and our trannys are what pisses me off, the lightnings would lose a mere 10% with the 4r100's and those things were tough as hell. i dont understand why ford couldnt come up with a better tranny than these 4r75's. people complain about how underpowered these trucks are compared to the competition and i think the tranny's are the biggest culprit.
but all things being equal, alot of cars were running slower than they should that night because of the weather and track elevation. i was watching a neon srt-4 that should run no worse than a 14.0 pull 14.8's with a very best of 14.4. also saw a chevy cobalt ss which are supposed to run mid 14's run consistent 15.5's many mustang gt's were running 15's and 16's, and i could go on...

I'm not crazy about the tranny in our trucks too. I WISH we could have the 6spd from the 09, but I love my truck as it sits and I especially love the color. Aside from the 6spd, the 09 refresh doesn't do enough for me to get one.

That's pretty respectable. I run pretty close to 15 flat and I'm at 7000' DA, which puts me right around 14.5ish consistently. You're pretty close in performance and weight than I am and I have the exact same blower, but with 3.73 gears.
Next time you are at the track, try avoiding the wet box and the burn. I noticed that on the video. It may be giving you a sloppy 60' time if you are finding traction to be a problem.

Your truck should have been knocking on the door of 14's... My n/a truck would run faster then that on hotter humid days... Hell i think I ran a 15.2 bone stock.

i wish the i/c intercooler upgrade for the roush wasnt friggin $2,000+ i wonder how feasible it would be to retrofit some kind of an intercooler into my setup

no none at all. after my rear yoke shattered a few yrs ago, i beefed up the area around the axle to suspension area, to get some trction bar like results, and it really helped any hop and looseness i had back there.
i was getting low 2.3's to high 2.2's for the most part. i had my rear tire pressure down to about 25 psi for most of the runs, but i let more out for the last run and seemed to hook up pretty well, but only launched at like 1200 rpms or so. i think i got a 2.24 on that run but ill have to find that timeslip to be sure. a 2.24 isnt too awful bad, but i can definitely feel the truck bog down for the first 30' or so, im hoping because of the big heavy wheels.
im probably going back in the next few weeks. i think i might throw on my stock wheels and tires for a few runs an just do crazy burnouts to heat them up and see how well they hook up. with any luck ill see a difference...

i went back to the track last night with my stock wheels and tires. traction was definitely an issue, i couldnt launch at all or even mash the pedal at green even after doing crazy burnouts. I was able to run a best of 14.53 at 96.0 mph though. the temp was also about 10 degrees cooler than last time, but still with near 100% humidity. my 60' times really didnt improve, but i was definitly quicker.
i can see with some better tires on some 17's or 18's and maybe even a little cooler temps, i could be close to a 14 flat...

Truck looks great, looks like you have a good time and thats all that matter. It's fast enough to take out some of the 4cyl lightly modded imports, and thats always good.
One question though, were you heating your stock tires before each run?
I would avoid the water box, and heating them up, and just roll right to staging. You lose traction with warm stock rubber.
