that sux LOL, but hey at least you should have low humidity out there, the humid air here in the deep south hurts...

Here's somethin I was wondering, anyone ever use engine ice in their intercooler? I used it in my streetbike cuz my leg kept getting too hot and the engine ice took the heat way down.. I mean they recommend 50/50 regular but is there any reason the engine ice wouldn't work??

gen2 Lightning / harley truck owners been doing since '99 / '02
try a Killer Chiller
Three things. Electric water pump, electric radiator fans and a yellow top battery. With these three things you can shut the engine off in the staging lanes and run the water pump and fans to keep it cool. The yellow top is insurance for restart after running the other two things.
Oh and pop the hood too. It will allow the hot under hood air to escape.

Put a fan on the heat exchanger and install a switch to turn on the pump.

Easy steps.
Bring cooler.
2 bags of ice
Portable generator (if you can't park near an outlet and run an extension cord)
2 air circulators or blowers (these are NOT your typical box fans and move a lot more air volume).
Should be all you need and you don't need any exotic parts for the truck either. 2 air movers because you want one blowing on the engine and one blowing on the transmission between runs. Just ice the top of the SC and be mindful to keep the water from dripping on the belt or electrical stuff. Same techniques I've been running on my truck, 2 L-trucks, and few other cars and it's always been effective.
