I would all depend on if the vehicles PCM offers that kind of data log that we could tap into.
The 7.3L F250-F350's for example were equipped with a mileage meter that was built into the roof console that ran off a separate computer gauging mileage of the vehicle. The issue we had was that once the vehicle was retuned by our programmer that the onboard computer that provided MPG was hit or miss at that point because in some instances it would not be able to understand the changes.
Being that the mileage meter was a separate computer from the PCM we were unable to control it's data and that would be the same for the new vehicles as well unless they were merged into the PCM which I doubt the OEM's would do that honestly.
