Since you've got 3 gallons (I used a gallon of herculiner on my 5.5' bed) throw some in the rear fenderwell, and see how it holds up to the dirty, how it adheres to the painted surface, and how it looks when the texture is set up, and it's dry.
And if you decide not to use it, let me know. I need to do my fenders and under carriage hahaha....
