Your MAF sensor might be dirty. This can cause the truck to run overly rich. Do a search for threads on how to clean it.

BTW, do you have oversize tires? Any other mods?
no i have cooper discover 255-75-R16 tires. and no mods other then the exhaust. and i just put the 2.5 inch exhaust with 4 inch tips on 15,000 miles ago. and i do not want to drop another 200-300 on a diffrent exhaust i love the way it sounds for V6 my brother owned the pickup before me and had inch an 3 quarter exhaust on it. it sounded like crap. so i changed that. but it was only getting about 14 with the other exhaust also... how could i clean my MAF ware is it at? and could ford do it? if so how much?

i have been thinking of putting a K and N intake on it. would this help the bad millage problem also? i know it would but would there really be that much difrence to justify a 300 dollar intake?

when i bought the pickup 5 years ago from my brother (he bought it new) i would drive to pierre from here alot and it is about 210 miles. i use to be able to drive that on half a tank of fuel. which was about 17 mpg. now it takes 3/4 of a tank. to do the same trip. and is about 13 mpg. not good for an average of 75 the whole way. and my pickup has the 3.55's so you would think the millage would be outstanding... but it is nothing close to outstanding for a V6

how do i clean the MAF and can ford do it? if so how much?

thanks for the responses guys
